Translation process

Compliance with international standards

Interlinco has set up an Integrated Quality Management system, based on the requirements of the  ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard  and the UNE-EN 15038:2006 specific guidelines for translation services. Our translation procedure involves the following steps:

Project assessment and preparation

The project manager assigned to the task assesses the client’s needs and prepares a work plan for the project which includes the following points:

  • Definition of the documentation in question, specific terminology and glossaries, along with the client’s specific glossaries and style guidelines.

  • Translation team selection: only native speaker translators of the target language with a minimum of five years experience in the specific field are selected for the project.

  • Review and Proofreading team selection: a second native speaker translator has to review the finished translation, proposing modifications and liaising with the translator and the project coordinator in order to ensure the quality and consistency of the translation.

  • Preparation of the order and delivery terms arranged with the client,  and provision of a guarantee of the translation quality.
